El concepto de tiempo y vida en la cultura maya es trascendental.
Sin tiempo no habrìa vida. Todo en la vida tiene su propio tiempo. Para la cultura maya el tiempo es cìclico. El sol gira en ciclos, tanto en su rotaciòn como en su traslaciòn. Un dìa empieza con el amanecer y termina con el anochecer. todos nacemos, crecemos, nos reproducimos y morimos. Ese es el ciclo de la vida. Ese es el ciclo del tiempo. La muerte es parte de la vida.
