Las comunidades mayas tenemos una forma particular de extender una invitaciòn.Cuando se està organizando una fiesta, la madre y el padre cabeza de la familia, cabezas del hogar, visitan a vecinos y familiares. Les extienden la invitaciòn a manera de favor. Se les indica que acontecimiento ocurrirà.
Las personas invitadas muy agradecidas no se niegan a las invitaciones.
Dìas previos a la festividad comienzan a reunirse en el hogar para ayudar con los preparativos. No hay invitados y anfitriones, solo una comunidad preparando en conjunto, una fiesta comunal.
